Energy Star Program
Energy Star is a voluntary program originated and sponsored by the Environmental
Protection Agency. The goal of the program is to raise public awareness of energy consumption and to create a certification program through which manufacturers and other entities may obtain and use the Energy Star logo.
When the Energy Star logo is displayed on a product, the product has been manufactured in compliance with Energy Star guidelines and has been tested to confirm compliance.
Now, the program has been made available to new homes. When a home displays the Energy Star logo, it has been constructed and tested to use 15% less energy than a typical home constructed in 2004. Under Energy Star 3.0, which goes into affect on January 1, 2012, Energy Star certified homes will use approximately 25% less energy than a similar home constructed in 2004.
Every Hensley Premier Builders home greatly exceeds the requirements of Energy Star. We are proud Energy Star partners and use the logo to inform our buyers that our homes exceed Energy Star guidelines.
